Traveling on...

So to get to Koh Tao from Bangkok you have a few options. 1 you can fly to Surat Thani (mainland) then take a bus/taxi to the peir, ferry to the island and then taxi to your beach/guesthouse. 2 train to Suratthani Train station, then bus/taxi to peir and ferry etc. Or Bus the whole way – bus even gets on the ferry then taxi to your lodging. I was thinking train seems like it would be a nice ride but the folks I am traveling with wanna do the bus route, okay, sounds good, we'll give it a shot. Now to go figure out the timetables, fares, terminals and make sure we all get on the same one! They train and bus take the same amount of time but with the bus you have a lot less transport changes to make and that sounds good to me :) .....
