I have been asking around some of the locals I know and trying to find a real dance music scene.
I have been to a lot of clubs but the music is all top 40s remix bulloney.
Haha, I know, yes I am a music snob :P
Anyway I finally made a connection and found out UBRadio had a UK DJ spinning Drum & Bass tonight.
I went to club 808 and heard the best tunes since I’ve been here.
The crowd was mediocre;
there just isn’t a scene (its in its infancy) here in the central city I guess, most Thai like either traditional or pop/hip hop crap.
Oh well.
It
was a fun night tho, I made new friends from Barcelona, Bangkok, Scotland and New Zealand!
I definitely got some good dancing in and met the peeps at the club so now I can keep posted on whos gonna be around…not that I am sticking around in Bangkok long but ya never know…It is really kinda odd that there are 10 million people and the nightlife is basically the travelers in very 6th street like bars or the sex trade.
Haha, anyway I am sending some loving thoughts to all my ATX music creators I miss your art, my MP3 player will be tiding me over till I get home :)
